Biography


rehshetta brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the Justice & Policy Studies Department as well as the Wiser Justice Program. A proud first-generation college graduate, rehshetta earned a BS in Community & Justice Studies from Guilford College in 2018. Passionate about education, she furthered her academic journey at North Carolina A&T State University, obtaining an MS in Adult Education in 2021.

Returning to her alma mater in 2021, rehshetta is committed to fostering an inclusive and humanizing classroom environment, particularly for marginalized students. With a focus on Black queer pedagogy, anti-racism, and radical body autonomy her goal is to make education a liberatory process — particularly for marginalized students. Having been raised in Greensboro, N.C., her commitment to the community is deeply rooted.

This commitment reflects her belief in the power of education to challenge and dismantle systemic barriers. Through her roles at Guilford College, rehshetta aspires to actively shape the academic landscape by inspiring and empowering students in their pursuit of justice and education.

rehshetta lives in Greensboro, NC with her husband and two children.
